Steven L Vick

Mr. Vick is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Signature Senior Living, LLC. (SSL). Mr Vick is a recognized leader and innovator in the assisted living industry with over 15 years of experience in developing and managing residences for seniors.

Prior to co-founding SSL, Mr. Vick was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Assisted Living Concepts (ALC), a nationally recognized assisted living company from 2002 through January 2005. ALC operated 177 residences in 14 states. Mr. Vick built an experienced management team and lead the financial transformation of this company, until it’s eventual sale to another public company in early 2005.

In 1991, Mr. Vick co-founded Sterling House Corporation, which became a public company in 1995. Through his leadership, Sterling House Corporation built more than 100 assisted living residences throughout the United States. In 1997, Sterling House Corporation merged with Alterra Healthcare Corporation. The consolidated companies represented one of the largest assisted living companies in the country, operating approximately 450 residences in over 25 states. Mr. Vick served as the Chief Operating Officer for Alterra from 1997 to 2001, at which time he became it’s President, until his departure in 2002.

Mr. Vick received a Bachelors in Business Administration from Wichita State University and practiced as a CPA specializing in health care consulting. He serves on the Board of the American Senior Housing Association (ASHA) and is the Chair of the Board for the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).
